How Jet Luxe creates unforgettable experiences with the Forbes Service Standards for Excellence

As Forbes say, “Smiles Aren’t Enough” when it comes to customer service. Highly discerning passengers are looking for ultimate experiences that are curated to their specific needs and wishes. In January 2022, we announced our implementation of the Forbes Global Standards of Service Excellence developed in partnership with Forbes Travel Guide. Six months on, our concierge services have grown to meet the ever-evolving post-pandemic luxury travel space. In this blog, we take a look at the trend for highly personalized travel and how it is shaping today’s luxury experiences.

What are the Forbes Global Standards of Service Excellence?

The Forbes Travel Guide is known for its “Star Ratings” of luxury hotels, restaurants, and spas globally and brought its Five-Star hospitality approach to its work with Jet Luxe. Their team of professional inspectors assess hotels, restaurants, and travel experiences based on 900 objective standards that determine its coveted annual Star Ratings. They visit every brand that they Star Rate, staying anonymously as a typical guest. No one can buy a rating under any circumstance. Every Star Rating is earned through an objective, independent process. 

More recently, with the massive popularity of private jet travel, Forbes Travel Guide has launched some guidelines customer service standards. These standards, which have been fully implemented at Jet Luxe, help to determine our global experience is benchmarked, consistent, and exceeds expectations – always!

Benchmarking the private jet experience

To date, there has been no qualitative comparison of private jet experiences for passengers to asses which brand to trust. Through the Forbes Standards, Jet Luxe’s clients have a clear understanding of our approach to customer experience and what to expect. Jet Luxe is the only private jet brand with bases outside of the United States to have committed to the program of Forbes Travel Guide service standards and service excellence training, making it a unique choice for well-informed travellers. This enhanced approach gives a guarantee of a highly quality controlled customer experience and seeks to provide Jet Luxe’s clients with a structure through which to measure quality.

“For one of our clients – I conducted some research to help personalize the trip. I discovered that this passenger was incredibly interested in Napoleon Bonaparte’s life. This gave me something fun to “play” with – experience-wise. We created a special trip to Maldives with (carefully planned and pre-approved) “surprise” elements featuring Napoleon. We tailored special linens, a curated menu featuring Napoleon’s favourite foods and little macaroons with a personalized logo. As a gift, we sourced special books detailing the life of Napoleon, had a small costume of Bonaparte for the child as well as some magazines. We also sourced Napoleon’s favourite alcohol / liqueur – which is a rare drink to find. The passengers were thrilled with the final outcome”.

Creating the trip of a lifetime

The example above is highly niche and of course, the concierge team manages more mainstream requests every day. Wellness menus, children’s entertainment, pet menus and beds, or specialist cuisine – Jet Luxe has it covered.  Clients can request that their Jet Luxe concierge plans the on board experience or an entire trip. More recently, Jet Luxe has designed special honeymoons, bucket list travel experiences, and round-the world trips for its clients.
