Interview with Nicolas Castanheira, Chief Marketing Officer
Inside 2025’s Elite Summer Travel Trends
Nicolas, what destinations are dominating Jet Luxe’s flight map this summer?
Nicolas: “The big four for us this season are Ibiza, Mykonos, the Dalmatian Coast in Croatia, and Nice. But if I had to spotlight two, it would be Ibiza and Mykonos — we’ve allocated extra fleet access, local concierge partnerships, and Flight Care resources in both destinations this summer. Demand is skyrocketing, and our clients expect us to be not only responsive, but anticipatory.“
Can you share more about the spike in demand and why Ibiza is still leading the charts?
Nicolas: “According to WingX, Ibiza ranked among the top five most active private jet destinations in Europe during summer 2024, with a year-on-year growth of over 20% in private arrivals. The appeal hasn’t changed: it’s vibrant, luxurious, and very much a statement destination. Our Ibiza-bound clients often want quick turnarounds, personalized ground service, and villa-to-yacht coordination — and Jet Luxe is built for exactly that.”
Mykonos is clearly on the radar too — what makes it a Jet Luxe priority this year?
Nicolas: “Mykonos saw a 28% increase in private jet traffic last summer (European Business Aviation Association) and is on pace to break that record in 2025. We’re seeing a strong push from GCC and North American travelers wanting not just flights but end-to-end experiences — private chefs, villa staffing, exclusive club access. That’s why Jet Luxe is investing in stronger infrastructure and on-the-ground teams in Mykonos this year. It’s a core summer hub for us.”
What about Croatia? Has it solidified its spot as a jet-set destination?
Nicolas: “Yes, especially the Dalmatian Coast. Croatia saw a 35% increase in private aviation arrivals in the past two years (EBAA), and the momentum isn’t slowing. Dubrovnik and Split are top picks, but Hvar is the rising star. It’s a sleek mix of nature, culture, and privacy. Many clients pair a flight with a private yacht itinerary from Split onward.”
Nice has long been a private aviation staple—still holding strong?
Nicolas: “Always. Nice Côte d’Azur Airport is still the busiest private jet hub in Europe during summer, handling over 15,000 business aviation movements during peak months (Eurocontrol). For us, it’s not just about Nice itself—it’s the launch point for clients continuing to Saint-Tropez, Monaco, or even Portofino. And with INVICTUS and Valens programs, our clients enjoy preferential pricing and real-time flexibility there.”
From a business standpoint, what are Jet Luxe’s priorities for summer 2025?
Nicolas: “We’re focusing heavily on seasonal readiness, with tailored service hubs in Mykonos and Ibiza, elevated concierge offerings, and stronger last-mile logistics. The goal is to make Jet Luxe the only name clients think of when planning a private escape in the Mediterranean. We’ve increased capacity, activated local partnerships, and enhanced our real-time Passenger Situational Awareness tech to ensure every experience is seamless.”
Any final thoughts for travelers still planning their summer?
Nicolas: “Book early, be flexible, and lean on us to elevate the experience. This isn’t just about flights—it’s about lifestyle, timing, and exceptional service. Whether it’s a weekend in Ibiza or a multi-stop journey through the Med, Jet Luxe is ready.”
